MANTUA CEMETARY

352 West Center ST.

Mantua, Utah 84324

We have recently implemented a temporary pause on the purchase of cemetery lots. During this period, individuals not residing in the area are kindly asked not to acquire any plots. As for residents, we request that each household limit their purchase to a maximum of two plots. For further details, please refer to the complete resolution provided below.

Thank you for your understanding.

Purchase of Plots

Mantua's policy on the purchase of cemetery plots distinguishes between residents and non-residents as follows: Residents are individuals who have resided in Mantua for at least six consecutive months, while non-residents are those living outside the town limits.

Residents are allowed to buy a plot for themselves at resident rates. If they purchase an additional plot, they must name another resident to benefit from resident rates. However, if a resident purchases a plot and designates a non-resident as the plot owner, non-resident rates will apply. In the event that a resident sells a plot to a non-resident, a transfer fee of $1150.00 will be charged to the new owner for changing the plot's ownership.

In case a resident relocates out of Mantua voluntarily, they will be considered a non-resident at the time of their burial. Exceptions are made for dependents attending school elsewhere, being on a church mission, or moving into a care facility.

A perpetual care fee is to be paid at the time of purchasing a cemetery plot and again at the time of burial, which will contribute to the maintenance of the cemetery.

Rules have been set for Mantua Cemetery Plot Owners:

1. The property is to be used solely for burial purposes under the direction of Mantua City Public Works.

2. Monuments or improvements on the property are not permitted, except for one marker per grave to be erected within 12 months of burial, with specific dimensions. A reinforced

concrete vault is required for each interment.

3. Planting of flowers, shrubbery, trees, or plants is restricted to Mantua City Public Works and its agents for perpetual care of the lot.

4. All grave-related activities are to be supervised by Mantua City Public Works.
